Meet the Heart Behind Baked by Joy

As a mom, Joy’s biggest inspiration for Baked by Joy is her kids - Nathan & Natalie. Her journey began with a simple craving for Ube cake, but when she couldn't find any Filipino bakeries nearby, she took matters into her own hands and started recreating the nostalgic flavors of her heritage in her kitchen. Joy’s mission was to share not only the taste of home but the warmth and love that come with each bite.

Noticing a gap in the market, where many cookies lacked the comforting connection and Filipino-inspired flavors she wanted to share, Joy set out to create something different. She developed cookies that are indulgent yet heartwarming, all made with care and offered in a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.

Joy’s favorite cookie to bake is the Ube Crinkle Cookie, but her go-to treat to enjoy is The Boss—a delightful blend of half chocolate chip, half dark chocolate dough, stuffed with gooey marshmallow. This cookie captures the perfect balance of chocolatey richness and soft, marshmallowy sweetness.
