Meet the Heart Behind Baked by Joy

My journey began with a craving for Ube cake—and the realization that I couldn’t find a Filipino bakery nearby to satisfy it. As a passionate baker since a young age, I saw it as both a challenge and an opportunity. I returned to my roots, perfected my own Ube cake recipe, and began sharing it with family and friends.

What started with that first cake quickly grew into more: Ube crinkle cookies, Ube brownies, Ube whoopie pies, and a full line of cookies inspired by my son Nathan, our loyal customers, and the incredible team behind Baked by Joy as we continue to grow.

From the beginning, my mission has stayed the same: to create big, shareable treats packed with irresistible flavors and a little taste of home.


Each treat is handcrafted with real ingredients and made with plenty of love—just like I’d bake for my own family. Every batch is a celebration of culture, connection, and the simple joy of something sweet, made from the heart.
